Call of Duty is a first game of the series of call of duty.It is first person shooter game created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision .The game simulates army unit and combined arms warfare of world war II.The game features world war 2 era events and warfare.In the game play player control an infantry soldier who need to complete different objectives.

As the game is based on world war 2 era player can use various infantry and arms of that era.Player can carry two primary weapon in the missions.however carried weapons can be changed with those of dead soldiers.It is the first game that introduced iron sights aiming system in the first person shooting game.
Most of the mission in the game are multi-tier missions.Player need to complete all the objectives of every mission to proceed to next mission.As game features multi-tier missions rather than checkpoints system player can use any time save and load game option to complete the missions easily.The game focus on actual battlefield, there are many AI-controlled allies who react according to game play situation and assist player to defeat the enemies and complete the objectives of the mission.
